What happened during my first three appointments

Welcome Back! I am happy to report that I lost another 2 pounds during the last 24 hours. And I even stuffed my belly yesterday to the point of discomfort.

Since I am starting this blog in the middle of My Sadkhin Weight-Loss Experience I think it is important for me to back up a bit and start back at the beginning.

During my first visit to the Sadkhin Complex Steven explained all the eating details which I listed for you last time and he weighed me on his highly sensitive digital scale. Since I would like to lose 80 pounds he told me that it would take about three months for me to “give him all the pounds”. I liked hearing it worded this way. It sounds gentler than saying: three months to lose all of my embarrassing body fat!  Then Steven explained the tiny stainless steel balls to me and he instructed me to rotate them 40 times every two hours in addition to the special times of 3 and 7 pm. This cycle the balls were positioned to stimulate my liver and stomach.

During my second visit, in addition to recording my weight, Steven measured my waist. If I remember correctly the maximum measurement of a healthy waist is 32 inches. {look this up, maybe it was 35} My number was 42.  He had a special measuring tape that connected into a circle which he left hanging for a bit before he recorded the measurement. This time the steel balls were taped behind my ears to correspond with my intestines and my ?. He told me to rotate them every 1 ½ hours during this cycle in addition to the special times of ? and ?. He said that there is not much fat deposited "in between” the intestines, that the fat sits “on top of” the intestines and that I will lose inches off my waist during this cycle. We did not measure my waist during my third visit but I will try to remember to ask him to do this for me during my next visit.

During my third visit Steven told me to add exercise to my daily routine. He said walking/jogging/running is his exercise of choice and that it is best to do it after 7 pm. He also told me to avoid weight training since our immediate goal is to reduce excess weight not to increase muscle mass. But I have yet to start walking because I tripped in a hole in the supermarket parking lot last October. Thank G-d nothing was broken but I never went to physical therapy like I was supposed to do. It still hurts to walk so I got another script and I will start pt this week..... then I will be able to start shedding more pounds because exercise really does help  a body lose weight. {more later about how I lost 60 pounds 5 years ago walking 7 miles a day on my treadmill}

I am really looking forward to my fourth visit. I watched what I ate very carefully during this cycle so we will definitely be recording a weight loss this time. This is a good accomplishment and I smile every time I remember how possible it really is for me to be at my ideal weight in three short months….. maybe even by the end of June.

Seriously….. I cannot believe how easy this program is turning out to be.

Every day I consciously take stock of what food is still in my refrigerator so I can be sure to go to the store so I can be sure to have exactly what I need so I can be absolutely sure that I will not find myself "unprepared” which could (G-d forbid!) very easily lead me to grab the wrong thing to eat using the excuse that I do not have the right thing to eat at my fingertips.

There are even two one-serving size bags of corn chips under my sink….. but I will not eat them.

Not everyone can do this::  but I purposefully like to have a thing or two of what I am “not to eat” in my kitchen to help strengthen my “I will not eat this” resolve. The manufacturers are never going to stop manufacturing corn chips or brownie mix or ice cream so it is up to me to not eat these things. Really I should have said that it is up to me to not even bring these things into my kitchen which I whole-heartedly agree with ….. but I have a car so I can easily obtain anything that my mind can convince my body to get for me. But the bottom line is that it is up to my mind  and my fingers to not eat fatening things.

It's getting close to the time to go so here are a few more things I wanted to add. Plus, I really would like to know: how much weight would you like to lose? And would you like to do it hunger-free?
